The new voice I add to the world of art is one of gut response, intuitive observation and raw feeling. Being self taught is an advantage in these times. When you don’t always know how to do it, you dispense with that many more layers of net. It keeps things fresh, tantalizingly open to inner guidance and choice.

I recently chose the name NEW ART New World for my studio in Amesbury, Massachusetts, to be a reflection of the amazing changes happening in our world today. For me, it is a name that speaks to both our personal and planetary visions. NEW ART New World is a name about moving beyond art as technique or information, into the territory of vibration, energy and intuition. 
In these poignant, fast-moving times on planet Earth, I want to make art a leading edge tool that can reach us on many different levels. I want to introduce art and art practices and many-layered art expressions that are wildly spontaneous while still evoking something familiar, recognizable and universal. 
My art is all about grabbing the world just where it is and distilling it into a moment, whether the moment is a painting, a poetry performance or in a class where I am urging my beloved painters to reach, without hesitation, and without knowing how.
